Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a young woman that was incredibly sweet and helpful. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very pretty. The breakfast was very good in a room that was decorated so cute and had a homey feel. We are planning on going back again to stay there at the end of our trip. I highly recommend this hotel!

The location is really good, walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants. It has a Carrefour convenience store right across the street and is a good healthy work to a few tourist spots. The building has an old school elevator. I would say ride at your own risk but a ride inside it was actually an experience itself. Got stuck once during our stay. Haha. But after a few ups and downs (literally), the door finally opened. The rooms are ok - they are more on the old school vibe. On our first stay (we got the farthest room on the left, one of two with really nice stone ceiling), the hairdryer and fridge were not working. We told the owner about it and when we came back (still got the same room), the fridge was replaced with a working one. Unfortunately, hairdryer was still the same. Also, I think they only replaced the fridge from a different room as my aunt (we booked the whole place - all rooms) got a room with defective fridge. AC was really warm :( Towel replacement is every 3 days (or maybe was it 2?) and you will have to pay if you want it replaced sooner. Breakfast is prepared and served by the staff and it was good too.

We booked this hotel in Jan 2020, for Jan 2021. Since that booking covid-19 struck and our flights were cancelled. We have tried to contact this hotel numerous times via landline, mobile and email to ask for our money back or for them to change the booking to a later date. They have not replied to any emails or voicemails left. It must be nice to take peoples hard earned money in return for nothing!

Firstly I saw the reviews prior to going and albeit it’s not sign posted I found it without issue right opposite the theatre and on the left of the first floor don’t be put off by the entrance and stairs of the other hotel it is on the first floor. The owner spoke good enough English to run through the do’s and Dont’s of the city as soon as we arrived which was extremely helpful. This also entailed the places to go and entry prices expected. He also provided maps and guidance. The place is small with nine rooms on a single corridor all rooms named after a flower. I had the iris room looking inward to a court yard. This was like the other rooms a good size. The room had a high brick ceiling and was ample space for the three nights in the city . The room was used for just that a resting place at night clean tidy and made up each day. The bed large comfortable and a period carved design, wall safe provided along with a good sized wardrobe. There is a fridge to keep drinks and your beers cold. There is a kettle but you will need milk. Air con was above the door and worked well with easy operational control and was required with 26 degrees in the day and warm nights. The bathroom was clean and again adequate for purpose. Breakfast was at 8 to 10am there were a good selection covering all tastes and needs. Espresso machine was a great touch. We had as much as was needed. That said the only slight down fall was the size of the dining area with 9 rooms and only 5 tables so was a little cramped on one morning. The hotel is very central and a 7 minute walk from the terminal 2 minutes from nationale street where you walk down for 10 to 15 min to the coliseum and the fatherland building. In the three days I was there I took 66000 steps and walked 30 miles. It’s that central to all attractions. If you use this guesthouse / hotel for a base and for an overnight stay you won’t go far wrong. I did read the other reviews on this place prior to going and now after being here and staying there some of the previous reviews are rather harsh to say the least. I have traveled extensively over the years and have met people that I think expect to much from places , go with an open mind to the place and you will be fine and you will enjoy it. Would use again without doubt. Many thanks for a great week.

We booked this place as it was a great location, in walking distance of everything you’d come to Rome to see. We struggled to find the entrance as it was poorly signed; it was through a big door and up some dark stairs. Could have been signed better but all in all, friendly staff and a nice room with air conditioning and a comfortable bed.
